About this tool
How the JSON to CSV works
Convert nested or tabular JSON data into standard CSV files. Customizable delimiters, automatic key flattening, and instant download.
Automatic Nested Flattening
Deeply nested object paths (e.g. user.address.city) are automatically flattened into intuitive column headers.
Configurable Delimiters
Choose comma (,), semicolon (;), or tab (\t) delimiters to match your regional spreadsheet preferences.
Interactive Table Preview
Preview your converted CSV as a rendered data table before downloading.
RFC 4180 Quote Escaping
Fields containing delimiters, quotes, or newlines are properly wrapped and escaped.
FAQ
Common questions
Can I convert single objects or only arrays?
Both! If you provide a single JSON object, it will be treated as a single-row CSV. If you provide an array of objects, each object becomes a row.
How are nested objects handled?
Nested objects are flattened using dot notation (e.g. company.name, location.geo.lat) so no data is lost.
Can I open the resulting CSV in Microsoft Excel?
Yes. The output strictly follows standard CSV formatting and opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, and LibreOffice.
Is there a limit on the number of rows?
Because processing happens client-side, your browser memory is the only limit. Thousands of records convert in under a second.
