SnipFerry was created with a single core philosophy: “Fast browser tools for text, data, and sharing.”

Every day, millions of developers, content writers, system administrators, and students copy-paste sensitive credentials, database dumps, JSON responses, and personal notes into ad-ridden, sluggish online utility websites. Many of those websites send your keystrokes to third-party tracking servers, log your IP, and leak private data.

Our Core Principles

• 100% Client-Side Wherever Technically Possible: Text formatting, JSON validation, Base64 encoding, and cryptographic hashing run directly inside your web browser via standard Web APIs. Your data never touches our backend servers.
• Zero-Knowledge End-to-End Encryption (E2EE): When you share a live text room on SnipFerry, your browser encrypts it with AES-GCM-256 before transmission. The decryption key stays strictly in the URL hash fragment (#key=...) which is never transmitted to our servers.
• Zero Obligatory Logins: You can use every single utility on SnipFerry without giving us your email or creating an account. Your local history stays saved locally in your own browser storage.
• Minimalist, Non-Intrusive Design: No bloated popups, no blocking interstitial advertisements, and zero slow JavaScript frameworks.

Free for everyone

Every feature is free. There are no paid plans. Some room options require a free account:

• Anonymous Guests: 100% free, instantaneous tools, local browser history, and temporary self-destructing rooms.
• Optional free account: Sign up for password protection, burn after reading and higher limits, and sync your pinned tools, saved snippets and room history across laptops, phones, and tablets.
• Custom room links: Give any room a readable address like snipferry.com/s/my-project — sign in to a free account (up to 3 active custom links).
